All the rain last week and Monday wasn’t all that bad! It kept us home with no choice but to play. =)

Lovely
Finger Lovely (TM) that is! So much fun to play with vintage buttons. Did I ever mention I HEART vintage buttons??
Still updating my Etsy shop!
Remember this bag?

I sold 3 of them! *yay* I’m excited and it was fun making it too! I love those birds..i should have kept one for myself. But I’m out of that brown fabric. (Yeah I can get a similar fabric, but it’s not the same)
Happens everytime! I’ll only buy a couple of yards of a certain fabric, only to find that I really liked it and need more. Then by the time I go back to get more, it’s gone!
Happy Thursday! Just needed to share my excitement…its cool to wake up 3 mornings in a row to find my bag sold each time!
It's finished!
I love this bag! I love the cute cute bird. I love the vintage buttons I used (one of which I got from roxypop the other day). I love the feel of the outer fabric, the nylon lining takes some getting use to (I’m not crazy about the hum that nylon makes when it rubs together, it’s like utensils clanging together *eeeks*). But hey, the inside can be easily wiped down!
So who’s taking me shopping first?? (c’mon Ate Jinky, I know you’re reading this! haha)
i HEART vintage buttons
50′s buttons are just too..hmm happy and playful! i’ve been anxiously awaiting this itty bitty package and its HERE! thanks to roxypop from etsy, I’m once again inspired to work on new projects…

You have to check out roxypop’s etsy shop, there’s more where these cuties came from!!
ps. there’s actually more buttons, but I took this picture for my nephew, TJ, to look at.
new model
and I didn’t have to use Enzo!

another "e" skirt
just don’t ask who’s wearing it for the picture!

step away from the sewing machine
Ok so sewing is addicting. it’s just so much fun and so easy! it took me maybe 30 mins to make each of these skirts…it wouldn’t have even taken that long if i didn’t stink at cutting! I’m such a perfectionist when it comes to lines, so when I use my quilting ruler and rotary cutter (the ‘pizza cutter’ as Ethan likes to call it) it has to be just right. Well that and I have 2 boys running around the house.
Poor Enzo, since “E” isn’t here for me to measure and fit the skirts, umm Enzo’s been a fine substitute!

I think this is where Enzo finally drew the line, because by the time I had talked him into trying it on for “E”, he was DONE!
As Enzo puts it, “I am NOT a ballerina!”

I didn’t even know he knew what a ballerina was!
Sewing and cutting and sewing some more
I finally made my first skirt for “E”. I’m so excited coz I LOVE the fabric. It’s a vintage pillowcase I had picked up at a thrift store last summer. I was sooo scared to cut it too! I only have one of this particular pillowcase and it’s been one of my favorites, so I was really scared to mess it up!

Oh yeah, I guess I should explain “E”. But I’ll do that later when I have more time, I need to gather my thoughts haha too much stuff going on here, well not really but all the excitement feels like there’s too much stuff going on…
I still need to get “Ken”, my not-so-faithful-right-now sewing machine, fixed. Toots adjusted it for me back in January when I made that carry-on for our trip to California.
Oh my, that reminds me, I never did post a picture of that bag! oops…
