After playing with the idea for the past two years, we have decided to homeschool Ethan! Call me crazy, but we’re excited. Since we decided kind of late (public school starts Aug 7th) and we haven’t bought his books/curriculum, we probably won’t start school till end of Aug or right after Labor Day, but no later than that.
Wooohooo! I know a few of you were homeschooled, esp you guys at CFBC. So if you don’t mind dropping us a note and let us know how you liked/disliked your homeschool experience, if you know what program you used, and any tips for a ‘mom’ coming from a ‘student’ perspective, tell us k?? I’m interested to see what other homeschool kids think.
Well I guess one of the upsides to homeschooling is the flexibility in our schedule. Now we won’t have to rush home next time we visit California, coz Ethan can do school there. *yay*
homeschool ethan? wow..thats cool. here’s my perspective..i had fun..but then it got a little boring..because i didnt have friends to play with or anything. but then..it helped build my “roots” before i went into high school. like i knew what was right and what was wrong as far as drugs, parties, etc..but the only downside..procrastination. i always did my work the night before i would meet with my teacher. so..discipline him to do his schoolwork!! love you..
